Bardwell Playground DesignBardwell Playground Design

Students and parents at Bardwell Elementary recently gathered for a playground “Design Day” at the school. The event allowed parents and students to help choose playground equipment that will be installed as part of a generous grant from CarMax. The event was coordinated by the non-profit organization KaBoom!, who helps with the playground selection process and installation. Final designs will be voted on by the school, with installation scheduled for September 27.

Bardwell parents and community partners will be assisting with the installation. Generous friends and community partners include Kiwanis of Aurora and 4th Ward Alderman Bill Donnell, who were instrumental in helping obtain the grant. As we continue to repair and replace playgrounds throughout the district, exciting days are now ahead for the Bardwell Bears!
