Bardwell’s administrative secretary, Cynthia Bustos, and 2nd grade teacher, Sara Hernandez both received the prestigious Awards of Merit at Illinois State Board of Education’s “Those Who Excel” program. They were among only 3 district 131 employees chosen to receive merit awards at the ceremony. Mrs. Bustos was selected to receive a merit award in the  Education Service Personnel category, while Ms. Hernandez was chosen to receive the merit award in the classroom teacher category. They both attended the elegant ceremony on October 19, and they were surrounded by loving and supportive family members and staff. Way to go Mrs. Bustos and Ms. Hernandez! Bardwell is very proud to have you in our family.
