On Saturday, February 17, 2018, Bardwell’s Sirenia Moreno won the free throw competition beating 5th grade girls from all of the other district 131 elementary schools. Moreno was very excited to earn the trophy after already having won the 2nd place trophy with her team in the tournament. “I was very nervous!” she exclaimed. Despite her nerves, Sirenia impressively made 3 out of 5 of her free throw shots, more than any of the other students in the competition.
