On August 9, a delivery truck arrived at Bardwell Elementary, with 400 student backpacks, and filled with student school supplies. The donation came from Essendant, a local company, and several of the employees were on hand to help Bardwell staff and principal Armando Rodriguez unload the truck while also paying a visit to Bardwell. One of the employees from Essendant is Javier Hernandez, general manager for operations and maintenance.
Mr. Hernandez attended Bardwell in the 1970’s, and also graduated from East High! Special thanks to Javier Hernandez and to all our friends at Essendant. Your generosity will help our students reach their full potential!
